Series of incentives for members to go to Tet market
On the morning of January 10, the Nha Trang City Labor Federation held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market. The Tet Market program was held for the first time at the headquarters of the Nha Trang City Labor Federation (6 Le Thanh Ton, Nha Trang City) from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for 3 days from January 10 to 12, 2025.
Mr. Ngo Anh Duyet - Chairman of Nha Trang City Labor Federation, said - with the wish that all union members and workers in the city have a full Tet, Nha Trang Labor Federation has coordinated to organize the Trade Union Tet Market week at Co.opmart Nha Trang supermarket with more than 100 discounted items (from January 6 to 12) and today's program held at Nha Trang Labor Federation headquarters is more special.
At Nha Trang Trade Union Tet Market today, there is 1 zero-dong booth, 1 non-profit booth, and 5 discount booths. Of which, the zero-dong booth gives away 345 Tet gifts, worth 350,000 VND each, to union members in difficult circumstances.
The discount booth offers essential items such as fish sauce, rice, cooking oil, eggs, dried goods... at preferential prices (discounts from 10-50%). And the non-profit booth sells traditional local Tet cakes.
The Tet Market program is not only for union members and workers to buy goods at discount booths and non-profit booths, but the booths are also decorated into souvenir photo spots for Tet and enjoy traditional cakes made by union officials.
Hope for more benefits for workers
At the opening ceremony, many union members and workers participated in Tet shopping. The City Labor Federation also gave support to 10 union members in difficult circumstances, each Tet gift worth 500,000 VND.
Mr. Hoang Nam Trung - a member of the Union of Friendship Hotel Joint Stock Company, is raising two children (8 and 10 years old) alone, in very difficult circumstances.
Currently, Mr. Trung has a salary of 6 million VND/month and is renting a house, so life for all 3 father and sons is quite difficult.
"On the eve of the New Year, the Nha Trang City Labor Union gave me a Tet gift. And especially by participating in the Union's Tet market, I have basically prepared a better Tet for my three children. I really hope there will be more Union welfare programs for union members" - Mr. Trung confided.
For Ms. Ngoc Trinh, the gift from the Union supports her to buy essential items such as fish sauce and rice to prepare for Tet for her and her child. Working as a hotel employee with a low income, Ms. Trinh is raising her child alone and is living in a rented house nearly 10km from her workplace.
According to Ms. Trinh: "This is the second Tet Sum Vay that I have participated in. I am really touched. Not only because of the meaningful Tet gifts from the Trade Union, but also because of the practical benefits, helping many people in difficult circumstances to benefit, so I really hope that the program will be maintained and developed and have more benefits."
