Mr. Pham Nguyen Phi (46 years old) - Production Team Leader, Chairman of the Trade Union of ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company (Duc Hoa district, Long An province) - said that in the context of an increasingly developing economy and increasing demands on labor productivity, union members and workers are not only the main labor force in enterprises but also the pioneers in contributing innovative initiatives to improve work efficiency.
These initiatives not only help increase productivity in producing high-quality products for businesses, but also contribute to improving the quality of life of workers and building a safer, more friendly working environment.
With that mindset, since 2023, he has had the initiative to create a mobile covering machine applied in the company's factories, helping to overcome manual covering, reduce material wear and tear costs, improve product quality in production labor, and is recognized by the company as bringing in a profit of more than 300 million VND per year.
“In addition, I also actively study and improve my qualifications and professional skills. From 2018 to 2023, I attended many courses. Through these courses, I have acquired a lot of useful knowledge, applied it to my work, and met the increasing demands of customers towards the goal of digitalization, increasing productivity and ensuring quality,” said Mr. Phi.
According to Mr. Phi, by responding to emulation movements launched by the Union and enterprises, he actively participates in Party building, building a clean and strong Union organization and political system.
As Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union, he is always active, takes the lead and sets an example in the activities of the grassroots Trade Union, especially in mobilizing union members and employees in the enterprise to participate in the emulation movement "Good workers, Creative workers", the movement to promote initiatives and technical improvements, as well as mobilizing workers to actively compete in production and excellently complete assigned tasks.
Mr. Nguyen Van Qui - Chairman of the Long An Provincial Labor Federation - said that Mr. Pham Nguyen Phi has made efforts and become an official Party member in 2003. Especially in the period of 2018-2023, Mr. Phi was always ranked by the Party cell as a Party member who completed his tasks well or better, in which, he was ranked as an excellent Party member in 2022 and was awarded a Certificate of Merit for Party work.
The Chairman of the Long An Provincial Labor Federation shared: “The initiatives of union members contribute significantly to the development of enterprises and the national economy. The Union always encourages union members and workers to have initiatives and innovations. From there, creating a working environment that is not only safe but also effective and dynamic."
Mr. Qui also added that with continuous achievements over many years, union member Pham Nguyen Phi was nominated by the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor to be selected by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as one of 95 examples of "Outstanding Workers and Communist Party Members of the Communist Party of Vietnam, First Time in 2025" to be honored on February 16, 2025.
