According to the Vietnam Education Trade Union (VTC), currently, the VTC directly manages 70 units, including 4 grassroots trade unions and 66 affiliated grassroots trade unions (CDCS) with a total of 41,643 union members, an increase of 11 grassroots trade unions and 783 union members compared to the beginning of 2025.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the work of honoring and rewarding typical advanced examples in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns of trade unions at all levels continued to be promoted with many new and creative ways of doing things, bringing practical results. Thereby, creating motivation for cadres, teachers, and workers to overcome difficulties in professional work, promoting innovation. The material and spiritual life of employees is practically cared for, the environment is friendly, and school discipline and order are enhanced.
During Workers' Month 2025, 17 teachers and scientists with outstanding achievements in the "Scientific Research and Technology Transfer" movement were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; at the same time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Creative Labor to 5 teachers with topics and research works of high value and high application in social life.
Trade Unions at all levels have closely coordinated with authorities at the same level to promptly honor and reward outstanding union officials, dedicated and creative teachers. In the first 6 months of the year, 31 units organized to honor and reward 703 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in teaching, learning, scientific research and many innovations and creativity in trade union activities, contributing to the development of agencies, units, schools and the industry. These activities contribute to inspiring and inspiring the emulation movement for innovation to spread widely among the employees, creating a positive effect in social life.
In addition, in order to protect the rights of workers, the Trade Union also actively contributed comments to the draft such as: Circular regulating the regime of paying overtime wages for teachers in public educational institutions; Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Education; Law on Vocational Education (amended); Government Decree regulating career orientation and traffic flow in education; Law on Trade Unions 2024 (amended); Circular 29 of the Ministry of Education and Training on extra teaching and learning, Law on Social Insurance (amended)...
