On March 6, the Standing Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor held a conference to summarize women's work activities in 2024, a meeting to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8) and the 1,985th anniversary of Hai Ba Trung's uprising.
The conference was attended by Mr. Ngo Hung - Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuy - Chairman of the Soc Trang Incense Council in Ho Chi Minh City and many female cadres from all levels of trade unions in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Trinh Thi Bao Khuyen - Vice President of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor - reviewed the glorious historical tradition of Vietnamese women; emphasized the important role of mobilizing female workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD) in trade union activities.
Ms. Khuyen also highly appreciated the efforts and achievements that the Women's Union at all levels have achieved in 2024.
In 2024, the Women's Union at all levels has proactively advised and promptly grasped the thoughts and aspirations of female employees. Trade unions at all levels have closely coordinated with professional leaders, creating favorable conditions for women to study, improve their knowledge and professional skills. Many female union members have been trusted and appointed to management and leadership positions at all levels. The emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" continues to be promoted and spread, attracting the participation of 30,963/34,172 female employees registered, reaching a rate of 91%.

Mr. Ngo Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Soc Trang province - acknowledged and highly appreciated the important contributions of trade unions at all levels in caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, especially female workers. Mr. Hung expressed his hope that trade unions at all levels will continue to pay attention and create the best conditions for Soc Trang women to promote their good traditions, building the image of "Soc Trang Women are affectionate, confident, and creative".
On this occasion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuy - Chairwoman of the Soc Trang Aromatherapy Council in Ho Chi Minh City - shared her experiences and discussed the role of confident and creative female union officials in the new era.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor also presented flowers and gifts to delegates, leaders, and full-time female union officials.
