Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dan, born in 1985, working at Mining Workshop 5, Duong Huy Coal Company - TKV, is one of the typical individuals when he was honored 5 times as "Miner - Soldier" for his outstanding contributions.
As a 5/5 miner, during his working process, he has had 10 technical innovation initiatives, contributing to improving production efficiency and ensuring labor safety.
In the past two years, he has also directly trained three new workers and two trainees, helping them quickly master modern mining technology.

Every year, Duong Huy Coal Company honors 40 workers who have achieved the title of "Miner - Soldier".
Each quarter, 10 outstanding workers are voted based on criteria such as: achieving the prescribed number of working days, high labor productivity, compliance with discipline, compliance with working procedures, having technical innovation initiatives and good actions.
Thanks to the spirit of labor competition, in 2024, Duong Huy Coal Company achieved the designed capacity of Khe Tam coal mine with 2.5 million tons of coal, marking a new step in development by promoting Mechanization in exploitation.
Currently, the company has more than 3,500 officers and employees, operating 11 markets, including a mid-range market (600,000 tons of coal/year), a light-class market (300,000 tons of coal/year), 7 phankstock market, a chain market and two ZRY soft racks.
Mr. Dao Trung Huy - Chairman of the Trade Union of Duong Huy Coal Company - emphasized: "The honored workers are not only good at their skills but also have a high sense of responsibility, are exemplary in creativity, apply modern equipment in production, and are ready to support colleagues, contributing to building a united and highly productive labor collective".
The emulation movement "Miner - Soldier" was launched by the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee (under the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) in 2019.
By the end of 2024, 1,020 outstanding workers and laborers have been honored. The movement has created motivation to help the Group complete many important production and business goals.

In 2024 alone, TKV will produce 37.5 million tons of raw coal, consume 46.7 million tons, and achieve a profit of VND6.23 trillion, an increase of 42.2% compared to the annual plan and over 12% compared to 2023. In particular, the average salary of TKV employees reached the highest level ever, 18 million VND/person/month.
The "Miner - Soldier" program not only honors dedicated workers but also contributes to improving labor productivity and sustainable development of the coal industry in the context of innovation and modernization.
