1,500 gifts to care for union members and workers during Workers' Month
On April 25, at Suoi Dau Industrial Park (Cam Lam district), the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs to organize a launching ceremony for the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) - Workers' Month 2025.
Attending the launching ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and 400 union members and workers.
With the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering in entering a new era", in the Workers' Month 2025, Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor will coordinate with all levels to focus on promoting propaganda, mobilizing union members and workers to study and improve their skills.
Organize a dialogue program between the leaders of agencies, units, employers, union officials, union members, and employees to promptly encourage and resolve issues of concern and concern to employees.
Organize forums "Party with workers - Workers with the Party"; contests to propose ideas, initiatives, and technical solutions to innovate production processes, save raw materials, time, and labor.
In particular, the work of caring for and supporting union members and workers in difficult circumstances, work accidents, etc. will be carried out simultaneously at all levels of the union. Of which, the Provincial Federation of Labor supported 1,500 gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances at enterprises and units with a total cost of more than 1 billion VND.
At the launching ceremony, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor awarded support funds to build Trade Union Shelters for 13 union members (9 newly built cases and 4 house repair cases), with a total cost of 660 million VND. At the same time, 220 gifts were presented to support union members who are workers in difficulty, each worth 700,000 VND.
Together, create a safe and sustainable working environment
Along with Workers' Month, the Organizing Committee's program calls on businesses and employers in the whole province to have specific and practical activities in response to the Month of Action on occupational Safety and Health.
According to Mr. Vo Chi Vuong - Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Khanh Hoa province, occupational safety and health work still faces many challenges. According to statistics in 2024, there were 8,286 work accidents nationwide, causing 8,472 victims (an increase of 892 cases and an increase of 919 people compared to 2023).
Therefore, in this year's occupational safety and health action month, the internal affairs sector coordinated with the Provincial Federation of Labor to focus on raising awareness, strengthening risk prevention and control measures, and building a safe labor culture in units and enterprises. At the same time, build mechanisms to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs to promptly adjust them to suit reality, ensuring effective labor safety.
Appreciating the coordination on occupational safety and health in recent times, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee suggested: " whether employers thoroughly grasp the policies and guidelines of the Party and State on occupational safety and health. Sustainable development, taking good care of workers' lives, increasing investment in resources for occupational safety and health and improving working conditions, fully equipping personal protective equipment, ensuring a truly safe and hygienic working environment".
