“The results in foreign affairs have contributed to enhancing the prestige and position of the Vietnam Trade Union in the international arena; contributing to building a strong Vietnam Trade Union organization, actively contributing to the overall success of people's foreign affairs work” - Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan assessed.
However, according to the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in the process of implementing foreign affairs activities, there are still some shortcomings and limitations, such as: The cooperation framework with some partners is not yet commensurate, not really in-depth and practical; not fully utilizing the support of partners; foreign affairs activities of provincial and municipal Labor Federations, central industry unions, and general corporation unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor have not developed evenly. In addition, the coordination between trade union levels in implementing some foreign affairs activities is not yet smooth; foreign propaganda and information work is still monotonous; research and summarization of practical experiences of workers' movements and trade union activities in the world have not kept up with the practical situation...
