Article 5 of Decision 1285/QD-BQP stipulates criteria for considering bonuses, bonus levels, authority to decide on bonus levels and extraordinary bonus rates
1. Criteria for considering bonuses
Bonus for individuals with outstanding work achievements, if they simultaneously meet the following criteria:
a) Comply with the Party's guidelines, State policies and laws, Army discipline and regulations, rules and regulations of the unit;
b) Completing tasks excellently, especially excellently in situations that are not predicted, taking place outside the plan or outside the regular tasks assigned by the individual; being evaluated, recognized and commended by the Head of the Regiment-level unit or equivalent or higher.
2. Unexpected bonus level
a) Bonus level for individuals with outstanding work achievements
- Level 1: 2 times the basic salary;
- Level 2: 4 times the basic salary;
- Level 3: 6 times the basic salary;
- Level 4: 8 times the basic salary.
b) The bonus level for individuals with outstanding special improved work achievements shall be considered and decided by the Minister of National Defense but not lower than 16 times the basic salary.
3. Authority to decide on extraordinary bonus levels
a) Regiment-level units and equivalent are decided to reward money according to Level 1 as prescribed in Point a, Clause 2 of this Article;
b) Division-level units and equivalent are decided to reward money according to Level 1 and Level 2 as prescribed in Point a, Clause 2 of this Article;
c) Subordinated units under the Ministry are decided to reward money according to Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 as prescribed in Point a, Clause 2 of this Article;
d) The Ministry of National Defense decides to reward money according to Level 4 prescribed in Point a, Clause 2 of this Article.
Professional soldiers are one of the subjects eligible for these special bonus levels.
The current basic salary is 2,340,000 VND/month according to Clause 2, Article 3 of Decree 73/2024/ND-CP. Thus, the 4 emergency bonus levels are: 4,680,000 VND; 9,360,000 VND; 14,040,000 VND; 18,720,000 VND.
According to the above regulations, the Ministry of National Defense decided to give an extraordinary bonus of VND 18,720,000.
In addition, the bonus level for individuals with outstanding special work achievements is considered and decided by the Minister of National Defense, but not lower than VND 37,440,000 (ie 16 times the basic salary).
