On April 24, the Trade Union of Long An Industrial Parks organized a visit, encouragement and gift giving ceremony for workers and laborers at Doanh Dieu Shoes Company Limited (Can Duoc District) on the occasion of Workers' Month 2025 and the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025).
At the program, 183 gifts were given to workers, each worth 1 million VND in cash.
This is an activity to promptly share difficulties with workers after the large fire that occurred on the evening of April 19 at the company's factory, causing serious damage to property, machinery and production materials.
Currently, workers are temporarily on leave, waiting for the company to rearrange production at workshops in Duc Hoa district (Long An province) and Tay Ninh province, while the main factory is under repair.
During the visit, Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Trang - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Long An Industrial Parks - encouraged workers to strive to overcome the difficult period, accompanying businesses in the production recovery process, ensuring jobs and stable income.
As Lao Dong reported, at 7:50 p.m. on April 19, 2025, a fire broke out at a factory of Doanh Dieu Shoes Company Limited, in the Thuan Dao Industrial Park expansion located in Long Dinh commune, Can Duoc district. The fire did not cause any human casualties but caused damage to the factory of about 3,000m2, inside which were many other assets such as machinery and production materials.
