The Hanoi Employment Service Center said that in October 2025, the recruitment demand across the city will be over 50,000 locations. This figure reflects the human resource needs of businesses to maintain operations and prepare for the production and business plan for the last quarter of the year, in the context of key sectors such as trade - services, tourism and investment still maintaining growth momentum.
Based on a survey and information collection of 6,113 recruitment targets of 970 enterprises conducted by the Hanoi Employment Service Center, recruitment demand has some outstanding characteristics.
Regarding the structure of industries, recruitment demand in October has changed significantly, reflecting the shift in the economic growth drivers of the capital. While the industry group "other activities and services" continues to affirm its pivotal role as accounting for the largest proportion (45.7%), the manufacturing and construction sectors showed a clear downward trend. Specifically, the human resource demand of the "industry, processing and manufacturing" sector has increased rapidly to 24.2%. Similarly, the "construction" industry also increased from 6.25% in September 2025 to 15.2% in October 2025.

Changes in the structure of occupations also correspond to shifts in the demand for professional groups. In October, recruitment demand focused on the group of professional specialists/technicians (accounting for 20.4%) and the group of technical workers/workers (accounting for 31.4%) of total recruitment demand. Industry groups recorded increased recruitment demand such as electricity - electronics - refrigeration, construction, mechanics - machinery manufacturing, textiles - footwear. This is a great opportunity for workers to find a job that suits their attractive salary in the last months of the year.
In terms of qualifications, the labor market in October witnessed a strong restructuring, showing a clear priority trend for vocational training workers. The recruitment demand for unskilled workers (osecured workers) has increased rapidly from 17.70% to 28.4%. In contrast, the demand for intermediate-level human resources has decreased rapidly from 17.42% to 9.9%. Along with that, the demand for college degrees and equal technical workers also recorded an increase. Meanwhile, the group of workers with university degrees, although still accounting for a high proportion, has decreased slightly to 21.3%.
The collected data reflects an important shift trend, when businesses focus on recruiting simple labor positions and technical workers to promote production and business activities in the last months of the year, said the Hanoi Employment Service Center.
