Listen to and solve workers' problems
At the meeting, the dialogue between Mr. Tran Sy Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee and the Capital's workers in 2025 was coordinated by the City Labor Federation and the City People's Committee to organize the organization of the month of workers, the proposals and recommendations of the union members and employees were answered and resolved. For more than 2 hours, nearly 20 proposals and recommendations were answered by leaders of departments, branches and Chairman Tran Sy Thanh.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Hai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Meiko Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd., who attended the meetings and dialogues with the Capital's workers from 2013 to present, the conference demonstrated the concern and commitment of the City's leaders in listening to and resolving the problems of workers, contributing to improving their working conditions and lives.
Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, a worker at Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd., was happy because the recommendations of her colleagues were listened to and resolved by the city leaders.
Ms. Huyen said that this was the third time she attended the dialogue conference between the city's head and workers. In general, leaders of departments and branches have answered in detail and thoroughly as well as provided solutions to the recommendations and proposals of workers. What Ms. Huyen is interested in is salary and insurance policies.
She has been working at the company for 13 years, earning more than 15 million VND/month, but her life is also quite difficult because she is raising 2 young children. According to Ms. Huyen, health care and education costs account for the majority of salary funds, so even though salaries have increased, they have not been able to compensate for the inflation rate over the years...
May 2025 is the first time Vietnam Electricity Trade Union has organized a Party Forum with workers, Workers with the Party on stage and online to units in the entire group. From 45 questions sent by employees of the units, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union compiled them into 10 key groups of issues.

Joining hands to care for union members and workers
According to Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu, Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health take place with the message that the whole society joins hands to care for workers. Thousands of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents and occupational diseases have been visited and supported by trade unions at all levels. In particular, this visit and support is concretized by trade unions at all levels in many forms.
At the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, there is a holiday program for 5,000 union members, employees who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, people working in arduous, harmful, dangerous jobs and special arduous, harmful, dangerous jobs that reduce their working capacity during work with a total cost of about 10 billion VND.
The Binh Phuoc Provincial Federation of Labor organized gift giving to 1,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances; supported the cost of repairing and building 14 new Union Shelters for union members and workers with housing difficulties, with a total amount of VND 610 million. The Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor organizes health check-ups, consultations, and provides free medicine to workers. The Vinh Phuc Provincial Federation of Labor organized free health check-ups and cancer screening for 1,500 union members; presented gifts to 300 workers in especially difficult circumstances or who had work accidents; organized union member welfare booths, giving 3,000 shopping vouchers to workers.
The "Thank you to workers" program continues to be widely implemented with many practical activities such as: Visiting, giving gifts, shopping vouchers; honoring workers who have overcome difficulties, are outstanding, and have seniority; organizing sightseeing, vacations, family meetings, and cultural - sports festivals.
According to the assessment of the VGCL, the activities responding to the month of workers, the month of action on OSH took place vigorously at all levels of college with many practical activities, suitable to the actual conditions of the unit. Implementing the plan of the VGCL, 100% of the branches and localities have developed plans and guidance on the affiliated trade union levels to implement the working monthly activities in 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneered the new era"; 16,375 grassroots trade unions have organized working monthly activities.
