On November 29, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF) organized the establishment of the grassroots trade union of An Tri Garment Production and Trading Company Limited, in the enthusiastic competitive atmosphere to celebrate the provincial-level trade union congress.
The Trade Union of An Tri Garment Company was launched with 239 union members, according to Decision No. 470/QD-LDLD dated November 26, based on the application to join the Vietnam Trade Union on November 17 of the collective of employees at the company.
The Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union consisting of 7 members chaired by Mr. Doan Huu Nghia will actively implement trade union activities, contributing to caring for workers' rights and building a movement of solidarity.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Nhat Linh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - congratulated the company's grassroots trade union on officially coming into operation, marking a new step in the development of the trade union organization and the spirit of solidarity among workers.
Mr. Linh emphasized that the grassroots trade union is the core force, a bridge between workers and business leaders, and at the same time acknowledged the support and facilitation of the Company's Board of Directors for the trade union to be established in accordance with legal regulations.
"The establishment of the grassroots trade union at An Tri Garment Company is a testament to harmonious labor relations, towards the goal of sustainable and stable long-term development and contributing to building a strong trade union movement in the locality," said Mr. Linh.
