A source from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on December 9 said that in the period of 2023 - 2025, the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions has always been focused on by city unions at all levels, implementing many new solutions, achieving some outstanding results.
In the period of 2023-2025, Ho Chi Minh City trade unions at all levels have mobilized the establishment of 7,717 new grassroots trade unions, admitting nearly 1.57 million union members, of which the non-state sector admitted more than 1.43 million union members.
Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation is managing 22,542 grassroots unions with more than 2.34 million union members, of which, there are 148 grassroots unions with 5,361 union members.
Ho Chi Minh City Trade Unions at all levels regularly grasp the situation and guide grassroots trade unions to organize activities suitable for each type of enterprise, while promoting the initiative of grassroots trade unions, enhancing exchange activities, learning experiences to improve the quality of activities of each unit.
At the same time, focus on regular training and professional support for trade union work for grassroots trade union officials, especially in newly established units and units with a large number of union members, to ensure the prestige and ability to perform the tasks of grassroots trade union officials.
