On December 30, the People's Committee of Da Lat City (Lam Dong) held a ceremony to honor environmental workers who have made many contributions to building Da Lat City "Green - Clean - Beautiful".
180 hard-working and diligent environmental workers working at Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company have been honored.
These workers have contributed to making the streets green, clean and beautiful. At the same time, they have also joined hands to build Da Lat city into a famous tourist city.
Every day, environmental workers sweep and collect garbage in 12 wards and 4 communes. They work on 165 routes at night and 49 routes during the day. The total distance the workers sweep is more than 110km.
Not only that, they also clean more than 70 alley areas and handle up to 130 - 140 thousand tons of waste each year.
In Da Lat city, environmental workers have been working under the cold of the plateau. This demonstrates the efforts and pride in the sense of responsibility of environmental workers.
Mr. Dang Quang Tu - Chairman of Da Lat City People's Committee expressed gratitude and sympathy for the difficulties and hardships that environmental workers have been and are experiencing.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Lat City called on the entire community, organizations and individuals to protect the environment, plant more trees and flowers in residential areas, households and public areas.
From there, everyone joins hands to build Da Lat city into a smart, clean and livable urban area.
On this occasion, Lam Dong Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Thai Hoc presented gifts of love and encouragement to environmental workers.
