On February 20, Emulation Cluster No. 2 under the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) held a conference to summarize emulation work in 2024. Attending and directing the conference was Mr. Le Van Phai - Vice Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor.
Emulation cluster No. 2 includes 5 district Labor Federation units: Cu Lao Dung District Labor Federation, My Xuyen District, Ke Sach District, My Tu District, Thanh Tri District Labor Federation.
In 2024, units in the cluster have focused on effectively implementing the annual work theme of the Trade Union organization, while widely implementing the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels for the 2023-2028 term.
Activities of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers are increasingly in-depth and practical.
The highlight of the past year is that units have supported and guided grassroots trade unions to negotiate and sign new collective labor agreements at 8/8 enterprises with trade unions. The Collective Labor Agreements all have provisions that are more beneficial to employees than those prescribed by law.
The District Labor Federations have also directed the grassroots unions to strengthen proposals and negotiations with employers to adjust the value of shift meals, with a minimum of VND20,000 - 25,000/meal or more. As a result, 100% (11/11) of enterprises have adjusted the value of meals, showing concern for the lives of workers.
The Trade Union Shelter Program continues to be maintained and effectively implemented by Emulation Cluster No. 2, promptly supporting the construction of 20 new houses with a total amount of over 1 billion VND, helping union members have stable accommodation, peace of mind in work, labor and production.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Phai - Vice Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in the emulation work of the cluster. Mr. Phai suggested that units continue to focus on propaganda work, closely follow the direction of local Party committees, promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, overcome difficulties, and proactively propose many solutions to complete the set contents and goals.
The conference also signed an emulation agreement in 2025, and elected the My Xuyen District Labor Federation as Cluster Leader and the Ke Sach District Labor Federation as Deputy Cluster Leader.
On this occasion, the leaders of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor also presented the emulation flag of the Executive Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor to the Ke Sach District Federation of Labor for its outstanding achievements in the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in 2024.
