The specialized monitoring delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, led by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, had a working session and monitored at the Phu Tho Provincial Confederation of Labor according to the content of Plan No. 55/KH-TLD dated April 16, 2024 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
As planned, the monitoring delegation supervised relevant records and documents at the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor on the concretization of the 2024 trade union work program; organizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Phu Tho Provincial Trade Union, term 2023-2028.
At the working session, the monitoring delegation inspected and evaluated the implementation results of the targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2024.
According to the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor, regarding the organization and implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has issued plans, instructions, and action programs to disseminate, study, and implement the Resolution of the Congress to cadres, union members, and workers; and organized 2 conferences to disseminate to key cadres of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
Up to now, 100% of the trade unions at the grassroots level have developed plans and organized 33 study conferences to disseminate the information to 3,456 key trade union officials (reaching a rate of 100%). Directing 1,702/1,728 grassroots trade unions to organize propaganda conferences and integrate the dissemination of the Resolution with trade union activities (reaching a rate of 98.4%) with over 95% of union members being informed about the basic viewpoints and new points in the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Phu Tho Provincial Trade Union.
At the working session, the monitoring delegation listened to and evaluated the results of the implementation of the 2024 Trade Union Work Program on a number of outstanding trade union activities in key areas such as representation and protection of the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; Activities to take care of the practical interests of union members and workers; Propaganda and mobilization work for union members and workers...
At the same time, listen to and evaluate the administrative reform in trade union activities; administrative reform in issuing documents directing and guiding the implementation of trade union tasks; reform in organizational structure and building and improving the quality of trade union staff; reform in trade union financial work; application of information technology and digital transformation in trade union activities.
On behalf of the monitoring delegation, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor acknowledged the results of the implementation of trade union work in 2024 of the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor. Highly appreciating the efforts of the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor, trade unions at all levels, cadres, union members and workers of the province who have closely followed the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee proactively, coordinated, and performed assigned tasks, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the province.
In particular, the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the Phu Tho Provincial Confederation of Labor and provincial trade unions at all levels in implementing the theme of 2024, focusing on bringing the Congress Resolution into life, competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.
At the working session, the monitoring delegation also pointed out a number of limitations, thereby giving comments and recommendations to the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor to make efforts to implement them.
Mr. Ha Duc Quang - Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor represented the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, seriously accepted the opinions of the monitoring delegation. At the same time, he expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will continue to pay attention, create conditions, share difficulties, and help the Provincial Federation of Labor to complete the assigned tasks and targets set by the Resolution of the XIII Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Resolution of the XVII Congress of the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor.
