The content of the meeting focused on exchanging information, documents, and images related to the activities of Comrade Huỳnh Ngọc Huệ, one of the key figures in the establishment of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), in order to serve the historical documents of the VGCL, and to provide a basis for honoring the role and contributions of this revolutionary leader to the VGCL and the national revolutionary cause.
According to the documents collected by the VGCL and the Provincial Trade Union of Quảng Nam, Comrade Huỳnh Ngọc Huệ was born on August 9, 1914, in a peasant family with a revolutionary tradition in Mỹ Hòa village, Mỹ Hòa commune (now in Đại Hòa commune, Đại Lộc district, Quảng Nam).
One of the collected documents states: “The First Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour elected Comrade Huỳnh Ngọc Huệ as Chairman of the VGCL. However, in the Eulogy and Farewell Speech, his position was referred to as Vice Chairman.

According to Vice Chairman of the VGCL Nguyễn Xuân Hùng, the documents collected by the VGCL show that Comrade Huỳnh Ngọc Huệ participated as a member of the Executive Committee of the World Federation of Trade Unions, however, there is no response or confirmation from the relevant authorities.
Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Quảng Nam Nguyễn Đức Dũng agreed with the documents collected by the VGCL and the information, according to the documents collected by the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the position of Deputy General Secretary of the VGCL is the confirmed position, and the date of birth is recorded as August 10, 1914, according to the genealogy of the family.
