23 business owners who strictly complied with the law, paid taxes, social insurance, and union fees in full, and took good care of the material and spiritual lives of their employees were honored by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation in the program "Accompanying businesses" with the theme "Solidarity - Development" held on the afternoon of October 10.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day.
Mr. Pham Chi Tam - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that the enterprises honored today are typical enterprises in production - business, overcoming difficulties, coordinating to take good care of workers, selected by the grassroots trade union and the upper-level trade union.
At the same time, always correctly identify the important role and position and pay attention to building and improving the quality of the labor force, pay attention to implementing the democratic regulations at the grassroots level through organizing good labor conferences and dialogue meetings with laborers, negotiating, signing and implementing commitments in collective labor agreements with more favorable provisions for laborers than those prescribed by law.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Hoan - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - said that in recent times, most enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City have been closely connected and coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City trade unions at all levels in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees, such as paying attention to implementing regulations on wages, bonuses, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance for employees, and ensuring a safe working environment for employees.
Many businesses also care about employees in difficult circumstances, especially during the Lunar New Year, while creating conditions for employees to improve their education, skills, expertise, professional skills, political and legal knowledge, as well as improving mid-shift meals, supporting rent, childcare, etc.
These meaningful activities have contributed to building good feelings among employees, strengthening the bond between employees and enterprises; at the same time creating conditions for trade unions to closely coordinate with enterprises, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in Ho Chi Minh City.
“Enterprises can rest assured to invest, develop production and business in accordance with the law. Ho Chi Minh City leaders will always care, accompany and create the best conditions for businesses to invest and develop in Ho Chi Minh City.
Enterprises should continue to accompany the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union to take good care of union members and employees in terms of material and spiritual aspects and focus on improving the qualifications, skills and expertise of employees, contributing to improving labor productivity and competitiveness in the context of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular being on the path of development and deep international integration," Mr. Hoan emphasized.
