Over 100 units of blood are donated voluntarily

    Vinh Long - Over 250 workers, civil servants, and laborers in Tra On district participated in voluntary blood donation to provide blood to patients when needed.

    On March 17, the Tra On District Red Cross Society coordinated with the Can Tho City Blood Transfusion Hematology Hospital to organize voluntary blood donation and blood collection.

    Over 250 union members, youth, students and civil servants, public employees, and workers from Luc Si Thanh, Phu Thanh, Tan My communes and Tra On town participated in blood donation.

    After screening, the unit received over 100 units of blood.

    This is a meaningful activity that contributes to raising awareness of cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members, youth and people in the area about volunteer activities in general and blood donation volunteer in particular.

    Up to now, after 3 campaigns, Can Tho City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital has received nearly 300 units of blood from people in Tra On district, with the message "Donating blood to save lives - a noble gesture".
