Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that in the 2023-2024 school year, thousands of children of civil servants, public employees, and workers under the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union overcame difficulties, excelled in their studies, actively participated and won high prizes in excellent student competitions at the provincial, city, national, and international levels.
There were 1,380 students who won national and international prizes in the fields of nature, society, culture, arts, sports, etc. Of which, 345 students won first prizes and gold medals; 365 students won second prizes and silver medals; 515 students won third prizes and bronze medals and 155 students won encouragement prizes.
"I hope you have a lot of motivation and continue to try hard in the new school year. Among the initiatives and scientific solutions that you have won awards for, I hope there will be ideas aimed at combating climate change, minimizing natural disasters and preserving peace," said Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu.
Pham Nguyen Minh Hoang - a 12A4 student at Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary and High School, Hanoi - representing the students who were awarded, shared that these days, we feel much luckier than the children in the flood-hit areas who are suffering from the pain of losing loved ones, losing their homes, lacking food, books, notebooks...
Hoang said he will donate part of his prize to support people affected by natural disasters.
This is not only my responsibility but also a thank you for the encouragement of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union in the past time.
Pham Nguyen Minh Hoang won the national first prize in the World Office Informatics Competition, was one of 6 members of the Vietnamese team that competed in California, USA and achieved top 5 in the world.
The ceremony to honor students who won national and international prizes in the 2023-2024 school year is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the deep concern of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union for students who are children of officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers at all levels of the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union, the future generation of the country.
Thereby, adding motivation for civil servants, public employees and workers to feel secure in their work and strive to complete well the assigned tasks at agencies and units.
