Apple launches new software update for AirPods headphones

QUANG MINH |

Apple has just released a new software update for AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2.

Apple today released a new update for AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4 and AirPods Pro 2. AirPods Pro 3 is upgraded to version 8B25, while AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 (version with active noise cancellation ANC) received version 8B21, both upgraded from version 8A358 released in October 2025.

Apple has not yet announced details of the changes in the update.

However, AirPods Pro 2, AirPods 4 with ANC and AirPods Pro 3 are expected to support expanding the Live Translation feature in some countries when iOS 26.2 is released.

Therefore, the new update may be related to preparing for this feature, or simply correcting errors and improving performance.

To install it, users need to place AirPods near their iPhone, iPad or Mac. Then, place the headphones in the charging case, connect the case to the power source, keep the case cover closed and wait about 30 minutes for the automatic update to complete.

Apple's regular release of new updates to AirPods shows that the company is continuing to perfect its audio device ecosystem, especially in the context of headphones becoming an increasingly smart communication and support tool, not just for listening to music.

The expanded Live Translation feature expected to appear in iOS 26.2 is considered an important step forward, turning AirPods into a useful real-time translation support accessory.

Although Apple did not disclose the details of the changes, its tradition shows that updates often come with Bluetooth connection optimization, improved noise cancellation and increased stability when used with iPhone or Mac.
