OpenAI has just released its first C business AI status report, providing a panoramic picture of the pace of the spread of artificial intelligence tools in the business environment.
According to the report, ChatGPT Enterprise (a premium version designed specifically for businesses) recorded an increase of 8% in weekly message volume compared to the same period, with each employee sending more than 30% of messages.
This shows that businesses are not only testing but are gradually relying more on AI tools in their daily operations.
A survey of 9,000 employees at nearly 100 organizations shows that more than 75% of employees feel that the speed and quality of work are significantly improved when using AI.
Most employees save 4060 minutes a day by automating repetitive tasks, while specialized users even save over 10 hours a week.
The departments of information technology, marketing and human resources were the units that recorded the strongest impact from AI with efficiency improvements ranging from 75% to 87%.
OpenAI believes that users no longer stop at basic queries. The number of programming-related messages from non-technology locations increased by 36%, showing that vibe coding - the trend of suggested programming is expanding strongly.
75% of users outside the engineering industry report they can complete tasks they previously could not do. At the same time, 73% of engineers said that source code completion speed has increased significantly thanks to AI integration.
A noteworthy point is the clear difference between pioneering organizations and the average group. Leading businesses send double the number of messages to each employee, and their employees interact with enhanced features that are six times more than average users.
This leads to outstanding advantages in terms of deployment speed, cost savings and overall performance.
OpenAI data shows that the use of structured processes such as ChatGPT and custom GPT projects has increased by 19 times over the past year.
The consumption of the reasoning model also increased 320 times, reflecting the shift from disjointed testing to building deeply integrated AI processes.
The technology, healthcare and manufacturing sectors are the fastest growing groups in AI applications.
Meanwhile, professional services, finance and technology are the largest-scale AI deployment areas.
Geographically, Australia, Brazil, the Netherlands and France witnessed AI-powered enterprise growth of over 140% over the same period.
OpenAI's API also increased by more than 70% in just six months, with Japan leading in the number of corporate customers outside the US.
The report affirms that AI is no longer in the testing phase. Businesses are expanding both the breadth and depth of AI application, along with challenges in implementation capacity and human resource adaptability.
