Lam Dong province is promoting digital transformation activities, especially building digital government, developing digital economy and digital society. Regarding digital transformation, Lam Dong Department of Information and Communications pioneered the movement "Smart Mass Mobilization", integrating digital transformation content with the theme "Digital Transformation - Serving the People".

This program not only aims to support the government but also wants to create closeness and connection with the people.

According to statistics, the rate of online processing of records has reached 91%, allowing people to enter data only once while still fully meeting the requirements of many transactions.

Currently, the Internet infrastructure in Lam Dong has covered 94.5% of households and 100% of communes, wards and towns. About 87.2% of the population has basic digital skills; maintaining the adult population with electronic payment accounts, using online public services and using electronic signatures, personal digital signatures reaching 5.8%.

The digital economy has become a major growth driver, with labor productivity increasing by 11.33% per year thanks to the application of technology in management and production.

The province also supports local businesses to promote digital transformation, improve processes and increase production efficiency. Thereby, helping Lam Dong products reach further in domestic and international markets, while creating many new job opportunities.

Lam Dong province sets specific goals for digital government development. By 2025, at least 95% of administrative procedures will be provided as online public services, striving for 100% of records to be processed completely online.

Lam Dong province’s digital transformation efforts not only create momentum for socio-economic development but also bring many benefits to the people. People can easily access public services and contribute to building a comprehensive digital society.

Towards the digital age

Currently, Lam Dong province is implementing many strong solutions to promote digital transformation, towards building an effective and friendly digital government, digital economy and digital society.

First of all, Lam Dong province focuses on improving leadership capacity in the field of digital transformation by strengthening the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation from the provincial to local levels and promoting leadership capacity testing. Communication work is enhanced to raise public awareness, aiming to create consensus for digital transformation.

To ensure quality human resources, the province proactively cooperates with universities, colleges and enterprises in training and fostering IT staff. The province's plan to achieve a strong digital workforce by 2030.

Funding for these projects will be allocated from the State budget, business investment and other legal sources of capital.

Regarding cooperation, Lam Dong strengthens connections with provinces and domestic and foreign enterprises to share experiences. From there, it builds digital platforms to serve areas such as education, health, agriculture and transportation.

"Departments, branches, sectors and localities, based on their assigned functions and tasks, organize the implementation of reviewing, registering targets and advising on policies to attract human resources to perfect the specialized apparatus for digital transformation at the unit, meeting the requirements of the assigned tasks..." - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Pham S added.
