Da Nang - The City People's Committee has just developed a plan to organize activities in response to National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) in 2024.

Regarding the issue of popularizing digital infrastructure to promote the digital economy, the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested the Department of Information and Communications to coordinate with the Vietnam Internet Center and the People's Committees of districts to organize the implementation of the Program to promote and support people, businesses, and business households to access online reliably and safely with digital services using the national domain name ".vn" in provinces and cities across the country in the period of 2024 - 2025" in the city.

The Department of Information and Communications coordinates with telecommunications enterprises and People's Committees of districts, wards and communes to organize the implementation of smartphone support for poor and near-poor households in the city.

Regarding the creation of digital applications to promote the digital economy, the Department of Information and Communications has officially deployed the Give and Take platform and provided guidance to agencies, units, localities and media agencies so that cadres, civil servants, public employees, people, organizations and businesses can know and use it.

In addition, departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, wards and communes post and publicize QR codes for online payment of agencies, units and localities at the one-stop shop so that people can conveniently scan QR codes and make cashless payments.

The People's Committee of Da Nang City requested the Department of Industry and Trade to launch a peak period of online shopping through e-commerce platforms, paying for products and services online without using cash.

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs is promoting the payment of social allowances and non-cash social security support.

Departments, branches and sectors direct organizations and units under their management (hospitals, schools, tourist areas, accommodation facilities, apartments, social housing...) to implement a peak period of non-cash online payments to pay for services such as tuition, hospital fees, telecommunications service fees, electricity, water, waste...

The People's Committee of Da Nang City also requested the People's Committees of districts, wards and communes to promote the implementation of cashless market and business street models; launch communications and guide individual business households, business establishments and enterprises in the area in industries such as food, consumer goods, fashion, handicrafts, catering services, convenience stores, minimarts, supermarkets, telecommunications services... to register for online payment accounts, e-commerce, and equip QR codes to support online payments.

Digital technology, postal, telecommunications, banking and e-commerce enterprises in the city develop promotional programs for information technology products and services; especially have preferential policies for online payment transactions and non-cash payments.
