At the National Conference on Digital Government 2024 held on October 25, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong - Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association said that the application of information technology and digital transformation is penetrating deeply into the activities of state agencies, enterprises and the whole society. The policy of applying information technology and digital transformation is receiving special attention from the Party and the State.
Today, Digital Government is built on three pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy and Digital Society. This is also the development orientation of Vietnam in the period 2025-2030.
"Not only that, digital transformation is an important driving force to develop productive forces and perfect production relations, bringing the country into a new era," Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong emphasized.
In Da Nang, with the strong direction of leaders at all levels, the city has promptly deployed and applied e-government architecture, smart city architecture and specialized architectures; prioritizing the deployment of digital infrastructure, digital data and human resources; with the companionship, experience sharing and support of businesses and experts.
In particular, there has been a positive response and participation from all classes of people throughout the implementation process. The digital transformation at the local level has brought about achievements in digital government, digital society and digital economy, receiving recognition from both domestic and international levels, contributing to the success of the National Digital Transformation Program.
According to the leader of the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City, the goal by 2030 is that Da Nang will complete the construction of a smart city synchronously connected with smart urban networks in the country and the ASEAN region; Digital economy accounts for about 35-40% of GRDP.
Within the framework of the workshop, the Organizing Committee announced and honored the Outstanding Digital Transformation Leaders 2024 to recognize the contributions of individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing information technology application activities, information security, promoting digital transformation of management activities of the Government and enterprises, contributing to promoting the digital economy and digital society towards the goal of national digital transformation.
