CIRP, the world's leading organization for research on production techniques and a leader in the fields of design, optimization, control and process management, launched a new report on iPads on December 27.
Along with detailed information about Apple's most popular tablets, new data shows the difference in the frequency of tablet sales.
CIRP noted in its new report that while the company focuses more on the iPhone, Apple has also impressively dominated the tablet market.
Unlike having to compete in the smartphone market, Apple created the tablet market when launching its first iPad in 2010.
Most popular iPad today
According to this report, iPad Pro is Apple's most popular tablet model, accounting for nearly half of those surveyed.
The second place went to the 10.2-inch iPad with a 26% market share, while the iPad Air came in third with a market share of 19%.
An important thing to consider is that this data is from the third quarter, before Apple launched a completely new iPad version with a larger full-screen design, changing the main design and adding a USB-C port.
Another interesting data point from CIRP shows that WiFi and Cellular models are sold equally, at a ratio of 50/50.
However, the current position of these models may change if the results of the fourth quarter are included. During this time, Apple's new tablet has been given many of the features that people love on the iPad Pro.
