Entrepreneurs - the vanguard in establishing digital production methods

Nhóm PV |

“Digital production method” is a new concept mentioned by General Secretary and President To Lam in the article “Digital transformation - an important driving force for developing productive forces, perfecting production relations, bringing the country into a new era”.

The entrepreneurial team is identified as the vanguard in the digital transformation process and establishing digital production methods in Vietnam.

Entrepreneurs and businesses “ride the AI wave”

To celebrate Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day on October 13, the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association (HanoiBa) organized a series of programs called Entrepreneurs' Tet. One of the most popular contents in this series of events is the Vietnam Young Business Leaders Forum (VYBS) with the theme AI WAVE.

Vice President and General Secretary of HanoiBa, Mr. Tran Van Minh said: “As the hottest technology topic in the past 2 years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been penetrating and changing the way we operate and do business. Therefore, at this Forum, the Organizing Committee will bring to the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association a very intuitive view, specific stories of members who have been applying AI to increase efficiency in the process of operating businesses”.

Mr. Cao Vuong - Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aiva Group - "demonstrated" the application of artificial intelligence when in just a few minutes, a series of advice for very specific questions such as how to increase revenue, how to find customers... appeared on the screen.

Not only that, the AI agent "assistant team" (AI solution to complete work, create results, save time) can also perform a series of tasks from marketing staff, business strategy consulting to content staff, product photography concepts...

From the reality of the world and Vietnam, founder and CEO of VinBrain (under Vingroup) Truong Quoc Hung said that AI has been and is affecting all industries. In particular, a person working using AI will soon replace a person working but not using AI.

However, according to experts, many Vietnamese enterprises are still in the "groping" stage of digital transformation.

At the workshop "Digital transformation journey - Breakthrough from small businesses to great success" held at the end of August 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City, the following figures were given: By 2023, about 47% of Vietnamese enterprises have begun to implement digital transformation steps at different levels and 98% of enterprises expect that digital transformation will bring significant changes in business operations, especially in reducing costs and improving production efficiency.

Mr. Phi Anh Tuan - Head of Digital Transformation for Enterprises at DXCenter pointed out that the biggest concern of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam is finding a suitable digital transformation model, because there are too many platforms and consultants. If the choice is not right, businesses will waste a lot of time and money.

Towards digital manufacturing

In the article “Digital transformation - an important driving force for developing productive forces, perfecting production relations, bringing the country into a new era” - General Secretary and President To Lam commented: “Artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), big data and cloud computing are gradually becoming important production tools in many industries and fields. Infrastructure, especially digital infrastructure, is being invested in and developed strongly. Telecommunication networks and broadband internet cover the whole country, creating a foundation for the development of the digital economy and digital society”.

General Secretary and President To Lam raised the requirement: “We are facing the need for a revolution with strong and comprehensive reforms to adjust production relations, creating new momentum for development. That is the digital transformation revolution, applying science and technology to restructure production relations in accordance with the remarkable progress of productive forces.

Digital transformation is not simply the application of digital technology to socio-economic activities, but also the process of establishing a new, advanced and modern production method - "digital production method", in which the characteristic of the productive forces is the harmonious combination of humans and artificial intelligence; data becomes a resource, an important means of production; at the same time, production relations also have profound changes, especially in the form of ownership and distribution of digital means of production".

Exactly 1 year ago, on October 10, 2023, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era. The Resolution sets out the task of "Having policies to create conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises to expand their scale, improve their competitiveness, production capacity, and develop business models based on innovation, application of science and technology, digital economy, sharing economy, circular economy, green economy, environmental protection, and response to climate change".

Resolution 41 also raises the issue: “Encouraging entrepreneurs in all economic sectors to participate, focusing on training and fostering new issues such as digital transformation, green transformation, startups, modern business administration, legal knowledge, practical experience, new business trends…”.

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung - Vice Chairman of the National Digital Transformation Committee - mentioned digital transformation: "If the leader does not directly participate, does not directly do, does not directly use, it is difficult to succeed because the leader must change some regulations to change the way of doing things in the organization".
