
According to the announcement, the incident occurred at 10:51 a.m. on June 12, Pacific time, or 0:51 a.m. on June 13, Vietnam time. The incident disrupted at least 13 other cloud services in the US, Europe and Asia.
Many web services with a large number of users using Google's cloud platform are affected, such as: Twitch of Amazon, Weights and Biases of CoreWeave; Discord chat app, Snapchat, platform for developers GitHub of Microsoft, Spotify e-commerce software provider or content distribution and web security network provider Cloudflare. In addition, some OpenAI products using Google Cloud were also affected.
Regarding this issue, Google said, "We are experiencing service problems with many Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products and the technical team is continuing to handle the issue."
OpenAI - the company behind ChatGPT also confirmed that it had problems with one-time login and other login methods. The unit said the technical team is working to minimize the incident. On Downdetector, a website specializing in recording the performance of popular online services, nearly 15,000 reports related to Google Cloud, but is gradually decreasing.
