One of the highlights is the expansion of the tools previously exclusive on Pixel 9 to all users. The Auto frame feature will automatically suggest reasonable photo cutting, even using AI to create new images if needed.
The Reimagine feature is also integrated, allowing users to add elements such as fallen leaves or green lawns to photos, even though they do not exist in the original frame.
This ability to recreate is considered both interesting and controversial when it blurs the line between real photos and AI-generated photos. Therefore, Google has begun to insert the AI-generated watermark into edited photos with this feature.
In addition, Google Photos adds the AI Enhance tool. When selected, the feature will create three different editing versions based on operations such as features, object Deletion, etc. Users can choose the most satisfactory version.
Google also simplifies album sharing, users can now create QR codes linking to their albums, can quickly share or print them out for use in group events.
The new editing update will be rolled out to Android devices in June, and then to iOS users.
