According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, iPad 11 - the next generation of low-cost iPad will be integrated with Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence features.
In the Power On newsletter, Gurman said the iPad 11 will have two important upgrades including the A17 Pro chip and 8GB of RAM, bringing the configuration on par with the latest iPad mini.
The iPad 11 is expected to launch in the spring of 2025, most likely in March or April. However, Gurman said the product line will not have significant design changes compared to the iPad 10.
Apple introduced the iPad 10 in October 2022 starting at $449, but that price dropped to $349 in the US in May 2024. It's unclear whether the iPad 11 will stay at that price point or return to a higher price point.
Equipped with the A14 Bionic chip and 4GB of RAM, the current iPad 10 does not support the Apple Intelligence feature set. When the iPad 11 is released, this artificial intelligence feature will officially be available on all new generation iPad lines, including: iPad Pro or iPad Air with M1 chip or newer; iPad mini with A17 Pro chip and the upcoming iPad 11 with A17 Pro chip.
In addition to the iPad 11, Gurman said the 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Airs will also get a minor upgrade in spring 2025, likely with the M4 chip. Apple is also planning to release a new version of the Magic Keyboard for the iPad 11 and upcoming iPad Airs.
As for the iPad Pro, Gurman predicts that the product won't see any significant hardware changes until late 2025 or early 2026.
