Meta shares its latest AI chatbot to interact with users

Meta plans to share its latest AI chatbot, BlenderBot 3, with users.

The Verge reported on August 5 that Meta's AI research room has created a new modern chatbot called BlenderBot 3 and is planning to share it with the web so that users can freely participate in conversations.

Chatbot or BlenderBot is a program combined with artificial intelligence (AI) to interact with humans. This tool will replace consultants, answering customers' questions.

For the new version, BlenderBot 3 was developed to research a huge text dataset, and will also exploit those text templates to create language, serving developers or book authors.

Another outstanding advantage in the new generation of AI chatbot is the ability to search for and citate resources from advanced topics on the internet.

By issuing chatbot to users, Meta wants to collect feedback on the problems this language model is facing.

Specifically, users participating in the chat can comment on any feature that the chatbot system owns. After collecting the feedback, Meta will publicly publish the data file for the AI research community to make changes.

Mary Williamson - Technical Research Director at Facebook AI Research (FAIR) - said that chatbot technologies were previously static models, meaning they could only remember what users mentioned in the conversation and save them through the browser's cookies if users left the program.

However, he believes that this is the biggest disadvantage of chatbots because it can only provide pre-planned content.

Therefore, Meta plans to share its latest chatbot with users, thereby building an AI system that can perform a flexible and natural conversation like humans.

However, only users in the US are currently able to use this new feature.
