Meta has been testing support for NFT posts on Instagram since May 2022, and if you are in the group of people with access to the test, you can now share your NFT posts with blockchain-vertified Facebook posts.
According to a Meta blog post, the company has begun to give people the ability to post their own digital collections on both Facebook and Instagram after they connected their wallets to one of two platforms, The Verge reported.
NFT posts on Facebook will basically be like regular posts, according to the screenshots that the company posted. But users' NFTs will have badges marking them as digital collections.
However, NFT linking between Facebook and Instagram can increase the likelihood of making bloggers the target of fraudulent efforts. Recently, many hackers have successfully appropriated users' wallets and blockchain-related items through social networks.
Facebook has planned and scheduled a clear release date for the link, right after Eminem and Snoop Dogg collaborated with their NFT Bored Ape chain at this year's MTV's VMAs event. Thanks to that event, current NFT fans seem to be revitalized with the participation of music stars.
Forbes reported data listed on DappRadar showing trading volume in one of the largest NFT markets, OpenSea, has fallen 99% in just the past four months. On May 1, the market had more than 2.7 billion USD traded, compared to 9.34 million USD on August 28. Another monitor from Dune Analytics also showed that NFT sales volume has fallen significantly from its peak.
