Samsung said it will expand the One UI 8 beta user test, based on the Android 16 operating system, to support more Galaxy devices. This update lays the foundation for integrating advanced multimedia capabilities on many Galaxy devices with different formats, while bringing a more intuitive Galaxy AI experience, simplifying everyday tasks.
The One UI 8 Beta testing program, first introduced with the Galaxy S25 series in May 2025, will officially be available on Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 devices starting next week in Korea, the US, the UK and India.
In September 2025, the program will continue to expand to many other devices, including the Galaxy S23, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G and A54 series.
With One UI 8, Samsung enhances the AI (artificial intelligence) experience by combining real-time context recognition and more natural interaction. When combined with the Galaxy Buds3 or Buds3 Pro, users can activate Google's Gemini by voice or holding on the headphones.
Developed to optimize for many different device formats of the Galaxy, One UI 8 not only helps improve work performance but also brings personalized convenience suitable for each user.
In September 2025, Samsung will launch an official version of One UI 8 based on valuable comments from beta participants. The update will be rolled out first to the Galaxy S25 series, then extended the order to other eligible devices.
In addition, One UI 8 Watch will be expanded to many other Galaxy Watch models in addition to the Galaxy Watch8 later this year, bringing proactive healthcare features and a more sophisticated, intuitive smartwatch interface to many users.
