Vietnamese Startup Honored Globally for IoT Security

VinCSS, a Vietnamese startup, has just been honored by Frost & Sullivan as a Global IoT Security Innovation Leader 2024.

This is the third consecutive time VinCSS has received the prestigious award from Frost & Sullivan - the world's leading unit in consulting and providing innovative solutions in business.

IoT (Internet of Things) devices have long become an indispensable part of personal life and the operations of every organization. Tens of billions of IoT devices are in use around the world.

However, these devices easily become gateways for hackers to invade, steal sensitive data and become leverage for large-scale attacks when containing valuable information but having many vulnerabilities and not being tightly secured.

Realizing that early, right from the first days of its establishment, VinCSS has seriously invested in researching, developing, and applying security solutions for IoT devices and achieved certain successes.

“IoT security is a big field and many companies are providing solutions and services related to this field. But we chose VinCSS for this special award because of its unique approach using FDO technology,” said Vu Anh Tien, global cybersecurity researcher at Frost & Sullivan.

FDO is a standard issued by the FIDO Alliance in 2021, supporting the deployment, setup, and connection of IoT devices automatically, quickly, securely, and efficiently.

VinCSS chooses to apply this standard to its diverse solution ecosystem to solve security problems for typical IoT devices.

In 2022, VinCSS cooperated with Pavana - a Vietnamese camera manufacturer - to successfully produce and commercialize the world's first FDO-integrated cameras, which can be easily deployed on any scale, ensuring safety against most IoT attacks.

In 2023, a Vietnamese technology startup will develop a smart parking sensor solution that applies FDO and Bluetooth Mesh technology to optimize parking lot deployment and management, saving time and resources for deploying sensors and significantly increasing security levels.

In 2024, VinCSS introduced the world's first FDO-integrated Wi-Fi routers, followed by the world's first FDO network deployment solution that fully automates the process of setting up and installing network devices, reducing deployment time and costs by up to 10 times while still ensuring efficiency and security.

Thanks to these relentless innovations, in September 2024, VinCSS was honored to become the first company in the world to own an FDO certificate, the only company to own 3 FDO certificates to date.
