According to TechCrunch, Youtube has recently announced a design to divide video content into three different tabs on all channel pages.
Instead of seeing all the videos being Uploaded in one channel, users will now see videos tabs - for YouTube's traditional long-form content, Shorts tabs - for short-form videos, and Live tabs - for previous, current, or scheduled Live videos.
These changes will make it easier for users to access the types of YouTube videos they want to watch - a move that YouTube said it has taken based on user feedback.
In a notice, the company said it has listened to users' opinions and implemented changes to make it easier for viewers to explore the content they are most interested in when exploring creators' channel pages.
This update also means that tab Shorts and tab Live will no longer be found in the main Video tab on the channel page - this is something that long-time YouTube viewers have not appreciated the penetration of YouTube's short-form content into their favorite channels in recent months.
Now, when users are watching YouTube Shorts videos in the main application, then navigating to the creator's channel, they will be taken directly to the new Shorts tab to see more content in this category.
In a Youtube post on Twitter, the company received a lot of positive feedback and appreciation from users for providing each type of content with a separate category.
YouTube said tab-based redesigning will be available to all users on all devices in the coming weeks.
