The program is expected to attract 340-360 grassroots IT officers and civil servants to attend. The training series took place in 3 key areas (corresponding to Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau before the merger).
Round 1 took place on December 5 and 6 at the Digital Transformation Center Area 1, No. 36 Trinh Hoai Duc, Phu Loi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Round 2 just opened on the morning of December 9 and lasted until December 10 at the City Press Center, 255 Tran Hung Dao, Cau Ong Lanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

From July 1, 2025, the (new) Ho Chi Minh City government apparatus will officially operate according to the 2-level local government model after the merger. With a large management area, ensuring shared digital infrastructure operates smoothly from the city to the commune and ward faces many challenges.
In reality, IT staff at the facility are facing difficulties in infrastructure management and operation of shared systems.
The training is aimed at standardizing operational skills, ensuring that key technical systems (Specialty Data Transmission Network, Data Center, Online Meeting System) are operated consistently, safely and effectively.
The training program's key content focuses on solving 3 core problems of today's digital infrastructure. Trainees will learn about Metronet network infrastructure, analyze the connection model from the Data Center to communes, clarify the role of components in the system and thoroughly grasp the process of coordinating incident handling.
The officers in charge of information technology at the grassroots level will also be carefully informed about information security at the Data Center, the principles of exploiting shared resources (virtual drive, storage, etc.) and strict data security measures.
With the Online Conference system, cadres participating in the training are also standardised in the process of organizing online meetings from technical preparation to the end of the meeting, ensuring the quality of direction and operation of the city leaders.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung - Deputy Director of the City Digital Transformation Center, chaired the conference, emphasized: "Our goal is to equip 100% of students with a firm grasp of the process and commitment to comply with technical standards. The digital infrastructure of the new Ho Chi Minh City must be operated synchronously, stably and absolutely safely to serve people and businesses".
This event marks an important step forward in perfecting the digital capacity of the administrative apparatus of the super urban area after the merger.
