With the theme "Promoting innovation - Driving force for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development", the event "Techconnect and Innovation VietNam 2024" was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Science and Technology (1959-2024) and the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (1954-2024).
Techconnect and Innovation VietNam 2024 is organized on a national scale, including many specialized activities on science, technology and innovation (STI); focusing on areas that are attracting the attention of society and businesses. The event attracted over 3,000 direct attendees and 7,000 to 10,000 online attendees, along with a large-scale technology demonstration space.
Vietnam's economic growth in recent years has gradually reduced its dependence on natural resource exploitation and gradually shifted to relying on the strong application of science, technology and innovation.
The application, transfer, innovation of technology and STI play a particularly important role in improving productivity, quality and competitiveness of enterprises, in the context of international integration and the increasingly profound impact of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat said that the event connecting technology and innovation in Vietnam 2024 with the theme "Promoting innovation - Driving force for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development" aims to promote the application, transfer of technology and innovation, thereby improving productivity, quality, and competitiveness of enterprises' goods, creating conditions for scientists to apply their results to production and business, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.
According to Minister Huynh Thanh Dat, technological level and capacity are key factors for businesses to create products and services with outstanding competitive characteristics, meeting the increasing demands of the market.
Techconnect and Innovation VietNam 2024 is an important forum for discussing the completion and effective implementation of new solutions and policies in connecting technology supply and demand, thereby promoting the application, innovation, transfer, development of technology and innovation, thereby developing the science and technology market.
