On December 9, the Can Tho City Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Week 2025 (CASTID 2025) was officially launched.
With the theme "Can Tho - Center for Science and Technology Dynamics, Innovation and Digital Transformation", CASTID 2025 is organized by the People's Committee of Can Tho City in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The event not only created a breakthrough in the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, attracting cooperation activities and investment in creative startups, but also affirmed Can Tho's role as a connecting core, a driving force center of the Mekong Delta.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Nguyen Van Khoi emphasized that the city has identified science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as the top important breakthrough, the main driving force to make Can Tho City develop breakthroughly and become strong. This is the core spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo that the city is striving to implement.
Activities within the framework of CastID 2025 will focus on 3 major goals. Including the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on Breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; Introducing outstanding achievements, spreading typical innovation and digital transformation models inside and outside the city.... At the same time, synthesize proposals, opinions, recommendations from experts, businesses, organizations, ... as a basis for policy making, action plans on innovation and digital transformation in the coming time.
After the launching ceremony, CastID 2025 will take place from December 16 to 20, expected to attract more than 10,000 attendees, with a series of 20 in-depth activities, including high-level forums, technology demonstration programs, and thematic scientific seminars.
The special highlight of CASTID 2025 is the space for the Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Exhibition with more than 50 booths, displaying over 500 technology products in the fields of national defense and security; cybersecurity; smart city; financial technology; startup solutions and innovation in the fields of healthcare, education, agriculture, tourism, food technology, logistics...; including the participation of international partners.
