CES is a technology event that introduces and displays new and innovative products. It is where large companies do business and find new partners and where creative individuals can express their ideas.
This year, Glux kind, a Canada-based children's equipment startup, introduced the Smart Car with Artificial Intelligence Ella at CES 2023.
Smart carts are equipped with the same technology as those found in autonomous cars and delivery robots, such as a twin- engine system for walking uphill and automatic down- uphill braking.

It also has sensors that detect surrounding objects, but the company insists it is designed to provide additional support for caregivers rather than replace them. Ella's car could move on the sidewalk and be self-driving without children inside. It uses cameras to monitor the surrounding environment and avoid obstacles.
Gluxkind posted a video on YouTube depicting some of the car's capabilities to reassure parents worried about using self-driving cars. In the video, the wheelchair can automatically stop when toys fall out and start rolling, and it can also continue moving on its own when parents hold the child.
Self-driving technology
Self-driving technology is still developing and has not been fully proven or widely applied. While some companies that deploy autonomous driving technology on cars claim that it can increase safety when used properly and the driver pays attention, Glux kind, founded in 2020, has added this feature to Ella cars.
In addition, the basket also has utilities such as the "Rock-My-Baby" function and an integrated white noise created to help soothe children. The wheelchairs will come with accessories including car seats, nests for babies and seats for beginners.
Anne Hunger, CPO and co-founder of Glux kind, said in a press release that their own experience has inspired the development of Ella cars as parents.
This car was honored as a Creative Award at the CES 2023, and can be pre-ordered for $3,300. The delivery is expected to begin in April 2023, according to the company's website.
Although CES organizers have said that the number of eventgoers is returning to pre-pandemic levels, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is still having an impact. In 2021, CES was held entirely online, and last year was a combination of live and online events, with fewer attendees in Las Vegas.
This year, TV and device manufacturers as well as startups working in the artificial intelligence field will participate in CES, with Meta allowing people to try the latest virtual reality device and Google introducing its smart home products.
