On November 1, Microsoft released a new update to Windows 11 - Microsoft's latest operating system with version 23H2. This new update fully integrates the new AI features of Windows 11 that were introduced in the past few months.
New Copilot virtual assistant
The most prominent in this update is the virtual assistant that replaces the previously used cortana under the name Microsoft Copilot. When updated to version 23H2, Copilot will appear on the default toolbar for easy use.
Introduced by Microsoft as "Your Daily AI Assistant", Copilot can help users change settings on the device, turn off certain applications, open documents on the device or inject Windows functions.
Copilot is now integrated for free on Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Edge, and Bing.
New Explorer file interface
In addition to Copilot, the file Explorer's user interface has been updated with a more modern design.
The "Header" screen ( title) has a new design to enhance the user experience, each different window has the "Header" option, which will also be flexible according to each window for ease of use.
In addition, the newly added "Details" section will provide information for each file, folder or drive.
The Home section on File Explorer has also been redesigned with a clearer and more intuitive display than previous versions to help users have a better experience.
The "Gallery" section (library) helps display and manage photos on the device and stored in the cloud, users can now view saved images with a beautiful and easy-to-reach interface.
In addition, the display interface has been adjusted similarly to other image apps. The new file format is also supported to compress RAR, 7-zip, TAR, and GZ files.
Some other changes
In this update, users can now record screens and audio through the Snipping tool tool tool, this application is very supportive when recording presentations.
With the new update, Microsoft Paint has added the same function as other image editing software such as photoshop when adding Layer to help edit and use the application more effectively. The dark interface and an AI that supports on-app painting have been added to this updated version.
In addition, Microsoft Teams Chat is now available on the toolbar to chat, make phone calls, and video calls ( meet) with others with a compact operating window.
Not only that, users can now connect their phones using the Android operating system to receive and send SMS messages right on the application.
This is Microsoft's last major update in 2023 for the Windows 11 operating system, users can now experience version 23H2 with new features along with a virtual assistant, helping to enhance the user experience by downloading the update in the " Windows Update" section.
