On the morning of April 11, the National Cyber Security Association (NCA) held a workshop on "cyber security in the new period - Solidarity to protect digital space".
At the workshop, Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Chinh - Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Ministry of Public Security (A05) - Permanent Vice Chairman of NCA said that 2025 will open a new context with intertwined opportunities and challenges, especially when the Politburo issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. This is a guideline for the activities of the entire political system, in which the association plays an important role.
Mr. Vu Ngoc Son - Head of Technology Department, NCA said that Vietnam expects a shortage of more than 700,000 cybersecurity-specialized personnel in the coming time. According to a survey by NCA, more than 20% of agencies and enterprises in Vietnam do not have specialized personnel for cybersecurity and 35.56% of units do not have enough personnel according to their needs.
Meanwhile, according to current regulations, it is necessary to organize training, disseminate and improve knowledge and skills on cyber security for cadres, civil servants and public employees regularly. Organizing traditional training is costly due to having to arrange locations, accommodation and travel costs for lecturers and trainees, limited time, and difficulty in arranging all cadres, civil servants and public employees
"Currently, cybersecurity-professional personnel are having to use foreign certificates: SANS, Offensive, EC-Council. There are no similar certificates in Vietnam, while the cost of international certificates is high and difficult to access" - Mr. Son said.

From the above reality, NCA has introduced the nCademy Cyber Security Training and Certification Platform. The platform was built with the goal of creating a community of learning, raising awareness and conducting in-depth research on cybersecurity.
"nCademy platform wishes to participate in solving the problem of the country's cybersecurity shortage, in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation" - Mr. Son said.
The nCademy platform focuses on hands-on training through cyberrange environments, which can simulate many real-life systems such as information technology (IT) systems, industrial control systems (OT) or Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
The platform is applied by artificial intelligence (AI) to help personalize the learning path, propose appropriate courses, support the assessment of learning outcomes and confirmation of cybersecurity skills. Cybersecurity certificates will be provided in printed or electronically signed.
Not only aiming at personnel specializing in cybersecurity, the platform also provides general courses, improving and updating awareness and cybersecurity skills for general users. Create conditions for learners nationwide to access courses with flexible time, optimize learning efficiency, contribute to the formation of a movement of learning and practicing regular cybersecurity skills.

The Association representative said that the nCademy project does not use the state budget, development funds are mobilized from social funding sources. Courses of propaganda and knowledge dissemination will be provided free of charge. While courses require a practical environment and lecturers will collect fees from learners to maintain infrastructure and develop content.
The platform officially came into operation from June 6 at nCademy.vn.
