The 2025 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Semiconductors (AISC) opened on March 12 in Hanoi, marking an important step forward for Vietnam in the field of high technology.

The event was organized by Aitomatic in collaboration with the National Innovation Center (NIC), attracting more than 1,000 leaders and experts from the world's leading technology corporations such as Google, NVIDIA, IBM, Meta, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, Qorvo, Marvell. This affirms Vietnam's increasingly important position in the global AI and semiconductor industry.

Taking place from March 12 to 14, 2025, the conference includes in-depth discussion sessions, technology exhibitions, policy forums and investment connection activities. The highlight of the event was the discussion sessions on " semiconductor technology revolution - Artificial intelligence" and "The convergence of semiconductors and artificial intelligence: Breakthrough factors creating a new cycle of opportunities". The forum "Vietnam proactively develops the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industry in the new era" will take place on March 14, emphasizing Vietnam's commitment to promoting these two key technology fields.

In his opening speech, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy - Director of the National Innovation Center - emphasized that the conference is not only an academic exchange forum but also an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its position in the regional technology race. This event helps domestic enterprises orient their development strategies, improve their innovation capacity and promote sustainable development of the high-tech industry.

Dr. Christopher Nguyen, founder of Aitomatic, commented that the efforts of the Vietnamese Government in promoting AI and semiconductors are showing the right direction, in line with the shifting trend of the global technology value chain. The AISC 2025 Conference also demonstrated the strong interest of the international community, showing that Vietnam is increasingly becoming a strategic destination in the high-tech sector. One of the important milestones of the event was the launch of SemiKong - an open source AI model jointly developed by Aitomatic, Tokyo Electron and FPT Software. SemiKong is designed to optimize chip production, improve productivity and accuracy in the semiconductor industry. Vietnam's participation in developing this technology opens up opportunities for domestic enterprises to move deeper into the global semiconductor manufacturing value chain. For the first time in Vietnam, the AISC conference organized the International Startup Pavilion - Shark tank program, where leading investment funds directly listened to and evaluated innovative ideas.

The AISC 2025 conference is a testament to Vietnam's strong transformation in the high-tech industry, not only attracting the attention of leading corporations but also creating motivation for domestic enterprises to develop. These advances promise to turn Vietnam into one of the important centers in the global technology value chain.
