TikTok continues to be one of the most popular social media platforms today, with content creators flocking to the platform like "burnt animals on fire".
Therefore, videos can quickly become "viral" on TikTok much easier than other platforms such as YouTube or Facebook.
That is one of the reasons why other platforms are trying to "copy" many familiar features of TikTok to provide to consumers.
According to Phonearena, YouTube has just announced a completely new tool that allows creators of their video content to enter Shorts.
No matter how large your video is, you can still convert it to a maximum of 60-second video and turn it into "Sorts" by using the available editing tools in the app, including text, timeline eductor, and filter.
In case you decide to choose under 60 seconds, you can record additional videos with a Shorts camera and upload more videos from the library to create a 60-second Shorts video.
Another important thing is that any Shorts created from VOD will link back to the original video, allowing those who watch the video to watch the full-length video.
Therefore, only the video creator can enter that video into Shorts because the tool is not available to other creators using it on your own content.
YouTube said the new tool is available to mobile creators on iOS and Android devices.
