Recently, YouTube posted a video on the channel Creator Insider YouTube stating that YouTube is currently testing an option to allow creators to use songs copyrighted from YouTubes partner music platforms. Moreover, creators can also make money from these videos.
YouTube added that access to copyrighted music options is a new feature that YouTube is testing with a limited number of creators. Specific information about this feature will be announced by YouTube in the near future.
Currently, YouTube is not the only platform looking to allow creators to use copyrighted music in videos.
Last week, Facebook launched the Music Revenue Sharing program, which allows creators to make money through videos in which they have added licensed music.
Facebook's "Sharing Music Revenue" program allows creators to get 20% of their profits if they use music licensed from Facebook's music library in videos.
YouTube is working to make it possible for creators to use copyrighted music to encourage users to create more original videos.
Meanwhile, TikTok is reaping many successes with original videos often shared widely on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.
