This is an important event in the series of Tet Doanh Nhan 2024 events to recognize the outstanding contributions of young businesses in the economic and social development of Hanoi Capital. The ceremony honored businesses with outstanding achievements selected from 81 registrations, from members and members of the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association. Among them, the Top 10 Young Entrepreneurs of Thang Long and 20 Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs of Hanoi have successfully passed many rigorous selection rounds, demonstrating the spirit of innovation and determination to contribute to the sustainable development of businesses and the community.
Mr. Tran Dang Nam, Chairman of the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association, said: “The enterprises have gone through many rigorous selection rounds. The candidates for the Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs of the Capital must go through two preliminary and final rounds. Particularly for the Top 10 Thang Long Young Entrepreneurs Awards, in addition to the preliminary and final rounds, the enterprises must also go through a detailed assessment round by experts and prestigious entrepreneurs from many fields."
The evaluation process is carried out according to strict criteria on business production results and personal achievements of each entrepreneur. The candidate's score is automatically calculated based on a clear formula and combined with the comments from the Evaluation Council to ensure objectivity and transparency. The Top 10 Young Entrepreneurs of Thang Long 2024 are selected from a "short list" of 15 most typical entrepreneurs who have demonstrated their ability to run businesses with revenues of up to thousands of billions of VND.
Mr. Tran Van Minh, Vice President and General Secretary of Hanoi Young Business Association (HanoiBA), shared: “These are new features of this year's Award. More specifically, the Top 10 Young Entrepreneurs of Thang Long 2024 has selected entrepreneurs who are running businesses with revenue of thousands of billions, contributing to affirming the position of young businesses in Hanoi."
The program is implemented by the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Association under the direction of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hanoi. Since its first organization in 2003, the Award has recognized and honored many generations of outstanding young entrepreneurs, becoming prestigious names in the capital's business community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai congratulated the young entrepreneurs who were honored and emphasized that they are symbols of the spirit of innovation. He shared that in the first 9 months of 2024, Hanoi's GRDP increased by 6.2% and Hanoi continued to affirm its position as an attractive investment destination for businesses. Vice Chairman Ha Minh Hai also highly appreciated the contributions of businesses to ensuring social security and economic development of the capital.
In the context of the economy facing many challenges, Mr. Ha Minh Hai encouraged young entrepreneurs to continue to promote their talents and strength to overcome difficulties and achieve new achievements. "Hanoi City will continue to create the most favorable conditions for businesses to develop. We also hope that young entrepreneurs will promote their pioneering and pioneering role to develop businesses more and more strongly, contributing to building a civilized and modern capital," he emphasized.
At the ceremony, in addition to honoring the Top 10 Young Entrepreneurs of Thang Long and 30 Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs of the Capital in 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 20 entrepreneurs who have made positive contributions to the movement of young entrepreneurs in the Capital. In particular, Mr. Tran Van Minh, Vice President and General Secretary of HanoiBA, was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for his outstanding achievements in the Association's activities.
The Thang Long Young Entrepreneurs Award is not only a recognition of the efforts of businesses, but also a motivation for young entrepreneurs to continue to strive and contribute to the common development of Hanoi and the country in the period of strong integration and development.
