Meanwhile, Bill Gates' assets are listed by Forbes at 107.4 billion USD.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates beat Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos on November 15 thanks to a sharp increase in shares. Specifically, Bill Gates' assets are up to $110 billion (according to Bloomberg Billionaire Index).
The asset increase is believed to be because the US Department of Defense unexpectedly awarded a multi- billion cloud computing contract to Microsoft on October 25. Immediately after receiving the news, the company's stock price immediately increased by 4%.
