On December 22, Huong Lap Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) coordinated with the People's Committee of Huong Lap Commune (Quang Tri Province) and Border Guard Company 321, along with La Co Village Cluster (Se Pon District, Savannakhet Province, Laos) to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the house "Love at the Vietnam - Laos border".
Previously, Huong Lap Border Guard Station had information that Ms. Pung Ma Ni (residing in A via village, La Co village) was in particularly difficult circumstances, her old house was seriously degraded and did not ensure living conditions.

Sharing the difficulties of Ms. Pung Ma Ni, officers and soldiers of Huong Lap Border Guard Station have mobilized philanthropists to support the construction of a new solid house, with an area of nearly 70m2, including living room, bedroom, dining room and kitchen, with a total cost of more than 300 million VND.
On the same occasion, the border guards continued to start construction of a boarding house for La Co Boarding Secondary School. This is a school in the border area that still faces many difficulties and does not meet the boarding conditions for students.

The new kitchen project has a construction cost of about 300 million VND, serving nearly 100 boarding students; at the same time, the unit also equipped nearly 100 sets of blankets, pillows, and shirts for students of the school.
With a total cost of more than 600 million VND, the projects demonstrate the cooperation of border guards, local authorities on both sides of the border, and philanthropic organizations and individuals, contributing to tightening the solidarity between the army and people, strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Laos, building a peaceful border, cooperation and development.
