Khmer girl brings Vietnamese jaggery products to 3 organic certificates

An Giang - The Khmer girl of the Bay Mountains region has brought the first hydrangea production in Vietnam to achieve 3 organic certifications from the US, Europe and Canada.

With the recent certification of palm sugar products by Canada (USCOEA), Palmania Joint Stock Company (Tri Ton commune, An Giang province) became the first palm sugar honey producer in Vietnam to achieve 3 organic certifications. The two previous certifications were the US (USDA) and Europe (EU). This is a type of certification recognized by many countries in the world, affirming the purity and safety of products that do not use chemicals, such as pesticides, preservatives, etc., do not use genetically modified (GMO) seeds, and are environmentally friendly.

To achieve this result, it was a journey of passion for the specialty of the Bay Nui An Giang region, the hometown of Khmer girl Chau Ngoc Diu (born in 1982). Graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from An Giang University and has more than 10 years of professional work with a stable income in Ho Chi Minh City, but unexpectedly in 2017, Diu decided to pass the safety zone and return to his hometown to start a business with palm sugar production.

With the determination to bring the hometown's specialty beyond the typical problems, food hygiene and safety and gradually meeting the inherent organic standards of natural honey drops from palm leaves, the endemic plant species of the Bay Nui, Diu semi-painted area and its colleagues have created a revolution in raw materials. After establishing Palmania Joint Stock Company (in Khmer, pal is palm, palm tree, palm tree; Mania is passion), Dieu has cooperated with 20 households, mainly Khmer people, to exploit over 1,000 palm trees with many mutually beneficial terms. The company invests in people who exploit and prepare honey to standardize tools and package products at prices higher than the market. Households are only exploited using traditional methods, not using preservatives...

With a source of safe ingredients, Palmania focuses on applying scientific advances in processing 7 types of commercial products from jaggery, such as: fresh jaggery in cans, jaggery siesta, jaggery, jaggery, jaggery, jaggery... After being launched on the market, Palmania's products have won many awards and certifications in the province, region, and country. Especially an international award, typically the Great Taste Awards 2020 held in the UK... This is also the first and only jaggery producer in Vietnam to be recognized by 3 prestigious organizations as meeting organic standards (Canada - USCOEA, USA - USDA and Europe - EU). Being certified as an organic product such as a global approval certificate for Palmania products will conquer all customers. Palmania products are currently sold at clean food systems across provinces and cities in the country and exported to countries: Korea, Poland, Finland, Japan and the UK.
