According to Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Trung Ho - Head of the Steering Committee for cultural, sports and tourism events and festivals in Kien Giang province in 2021-2025 - the province plans to organize 21 typical festivals and events.
To prepare and organize well cultural, sports and tourism events and festivals in 2025, the Steering Committee plans to organize 21 typical festivals and events to honor cultural heritage, historical and revolutionary traditions, combined with serving the development of services, trade and tourism in the province.
Including 4 new events compared to 2024 such as: Phu Quoc Traditional Fish Sauce Festival, Kien Giang Province - the first time in 2025; Inauguration Ceremony of the Memorial Temple for Heroes, Martyrs and Meritorious People of Kien Giang Province; Ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's Decision to recognize Rach Gia City as a Class I urban area under Kien Giang Province; Hosting the "6th Festival of Typical Families of Provinces and Cities in the Southwest Region, 2025".
Mr. Le Trung Ho requested that departments, branches and units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, coordinate closely and organize festivals and events well with rich, diverse and in-depth content, creating high consensus and strengthening solidarity. Thereby, promoting environmental sanitation, urban beautification, creating a festival atmosphere, celebrating the New Year in a truly joyful, safe, healthy and economical way. Improve the quality of art and entertainment programs to serve the enjoyment needs of the people.
