On the afternoon of September 18, authorized by the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the An Giang Provincial Military Party Committee held a ceremony to announce and hand over the Decision to appoint Secretaries of communes, wards and special zones to join the Party Committee of the Regional Defense Command.
According to the Decision of the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, 102 comrades of the Secretary of communes, wards and special zones were appointed to join the Party Committee of the Regional Defense Command. Of which, 22 Secretaries participated in the Party Committee of the National Defense Command of Region 1 - Long Phu; 32 Secretaries participated in the Party Committee of the National Defense Command of Region 2 - Long Xuyen; 14 Secretaries participated in the Party Committee of the National Defense Command of Region 3 - Kien Luong; 3 Secretaries participated in the Party Committee of the National Defense Command of Region 4 - Phu Quoc Special Zone; 13 Secretaries participated in the Party Committee of the National Defense Command of Region 5 - An Bien and 18 Secretaries participated in the Party Committee of the National Defense Command of Region 6 - Ngoc Chuc.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Cao Minh Tam - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command affirmed that the appointment of Commune, Ward and Special Zone Secretaries to participate in the Party Committee of the Regional Defense Command is an important policy to strengthen the direct, absolute and comprehensive leadership role of Party committees and parties in local military and defense work. This is also a step to concretize the policy of building a strong and comprehensive provincial (city) defense area, in which the grassroots Party Committee and government are the core force.
Colonel Cao Minh Tam suggested that the newly appointed comrades uphold their sense of responsibility, promote their core political role, promptly direct and organize the good implementation of national defense and military tasks in the locality. Regularly maintain close contact with the regional Defense Command, creating high unity in leadership, command and operation.
